I gasp.., with a smile

 flutters of wings inside,

 early days of us,

swim thru my heartshaped eyes

refreshing allure

sweet gesture of petals

 

From That Day Forward

 we had something special,

special from the start,

no question of our love so strong

five years enduring

many more to come

adored more,

after each kiss, smile,

and grasp of hand

I never knew I could love this much

I’m home every night I snuggle up to him,

when my lips touch his cheek good night,

warm,soft with a bit of scruff

never shall I take that for granted,

the little things, are the best

 he was made for me

I trust him like no other

best friend, best lover

he asked, I said yes,

slip on the rings,

he is my husband

I am his wife
